The keto diet is a low carb plan that many have turned to in a bid to lose weight.
It appears to be working as hundreds of Reddit users have extolled the weight loss benefits of the diet on the sharing site.
Keto is a low carb high fat plan causes the body to go into a state of ketosis.
This is when the body burns fat as its primary fuel, instead of carbohydrates which is its default fuel.
This 31-year-old dieter revealed that she lost an amazing seven stone on the diet.
She wrote: â€œFinally hit the 100 lb mark. Totally unexpected after a week-long girls trip!â€�
The 5â€™ 3â€� woman initially weighed 18.5 stone. However, she has slimmed down to an amazing 11.4 stone.
Revealing that she used the low carb plan, the woman wrote: â€œStarted with keto, moved to low carb & IF.â€�

Nutritionist Hebe Mills, founder of Hebe Mills Nutrition, told Express.co.uk: â€œIntermittent fasting is a concept where participants alternate between eating and fasting and eating in specific time periods.
â€œIt doesnâ€™t restrict what youâ€™re eating, it just dictates a time period when you are able to eat.â€�
Many on the plan will fast for 16 hours a day, and eight all their calories in an eight hour window. The popular 5:2 diet is also an example of intermittent fasting.
The Reddit user elaborated, telling readers: â€œI lost the majority of the weight doing keto, I have switched to low carb/IF as sort of a â€˜maintenanceâ€™ lifestyle.
â€œI tracked my carbs religiously for a long time but now I mostly eyeball it as I know what to eat and what to avoid.
â€œThe only difference is I may have a french fry or two or some ice cream now and then.
â€œKeto pretty much requires no â€˜cheatingâ€™ but I still have to live my best life and that just canâ€™t NOT include fries now and then ya know?â€�
Another Reddit user also revealed how he used the keto diet plan to slim down.
The Reddit user now weighs 15.8 stone – a loss of 3.5 stone.
The man wrote: â€œIâ€™m one week away from my 4 month mark of doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting.
â€œItâ€™s been a learning experience. This week I joined a new gym and hoping to get healthier.â€�
So what does he eat in a day? The man revealed that keeping his carbohydrate intake down was the key.
He wrote: â€œI stick to staying under 40g of carbs for my day. When I first started I was cooking keto recipes, but now Iâ€™ve figured out what to order at restaurants to stay keto.â€�
